SPEECH ABOUT ILLEGAL LOGGING

Assalamualaikum Wr. Wb.

In this ocaasion I would like to deliver my speech about illegal logging.

In most cases the condition of forests in several countries especially Indonesia are very miserable. They occur because of deforestation or illegal logging. The deforestation cases in Indonesia got the first place.

Actually, Indonesia has 180 million hectare of forest and the most is in Kalimantan island. This is the second largest forest in the world after Brazil. Based on State of the World’s forest 2007 1,8 million hectare of forests in Indonesia lose every year.

If the forest cut, the temperature would be hotter, less oxygen and more carbondioxide in the air. There is much polution which is dangerous for our respiration. We are threaten by natural disaster such as flood and landslide. The worst thing is global warming which is dangerous for the earth happen sustainable.

Ladies and Gentlemen there are so many report that wild animals like tiger entered the village and ate the citizen’s cattle. They did that because their habitat had been destroyed by illegal loggers so they entered the village to look for food.

From economic side if we took everything from our forest without taking care so it would be disappear slowly and finally we’ll have nothing more.

We can solve this problem with some efforts such as :               1. Plant some trees because one tree produces 14.000 of oxygen and it can be habitat for several living things.                 2. Do selective logging and replant the forest by reforestation.

Allah has created the forest which is valuable for human being in the world, so we have to save the forest and stop illegal logging from now.

Wassalamualaikum Wr. Wb.
